The brilliant ‘Every Frame a Painting’ YouTube channel has returned after a 10 year hiatus, releasing a short series of video essays before the release of an upcoming short film.
The new video, titled ‘The Sustained Two-Shot’, continues in the tradition of the channel’s previous videos - sharing film knowledge and ideas in a way that is educational and inspiring.
What made this channel unique is that it wasn't pretentious, and they never acted like they had all the answers.
The videos were made with love, and meant a lot to a huge amount of people. Many of their two million subscribers were aspiring filmmakers. Now, 10 years later, many are in the industry, creating films of their own. They'll be the first to tell you they owe a debt to Every Frame a Painting.
How long the channel returns for remains to be seen. And if the return is partly about finding a way to market a short film, we can’t begrudge it - they've absolutely earned our attention.
