Here are a selection of brand new movies and also three episodes from season four of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’ You are welcome to watch any of them on our flight. And you can conveniently highlight and save any films you wish to come back to later.
But first, a safety demonstration on your screen. We will begin the demonstration moments after our visual notice that there will be a demonstration.
Before that, here’s the opening credits of your movie. You are welcome to watch the Universal Studios logo appear (please note the audio will not be from the movie but from our captain, confirming that all passengers have now boarded).
Now you can watch your film uninterrupted. We are seven minutes delayed -- we will briefly pause your film to tell you this.

Some of you may have noticed a problem with the in-flight entertainment. Numerous seatback TV screens only work if you use the touch screen, and some only work if you use the remote that is glued under the monitor. There are also some screens that have broken touch screens AND broken remotes and they can only be operated when the plane banks to the left.
We will need to reboot the entire system. Unfortunately this will take twenty minutes. We will begin the reboot process but it won’t kick in for seven minutes. While we wait for the reboot you can begin to watch your movie. Once the reboot takes place, your screen will go black. If the entire airplane goes black, don’t panic, we are hopeful the entertainment system is not linked to the main electrical system. Unfortunately all of your saved movies are no longer saved, but you are welcome to save them again, if they still appear post reboot.
It has come to our attention that a small number of passengers are complaining that the earphones we handed out were either not handed out, or they are not working. After checking with a colleague I can confirm the earphones were indeed handed to each and every passenger, however, they are currently all faulty. We recommend passengers use their own headphones, but only when the plane banks to the right.
The system has now fully rebooted and you can watch your film without interruption - just as soon as this turbulence has finished. Due to the rough winds and the inexperience of our piloting team, all entertainment is now paused due to safety. However, we will still be screening a seven minute video any second now about what will happen if you fill in the wrong form at customs.
As the pilots have gained confidence, we have activated the entertainment again. Please be warned we are having some additional problems -- the films have been unexpectedly pausing at random moments and passengers are finding it hard to re-start the videos. We will pause programming while food is being served, giving us a chance to investigate the issue. As I’m sure you can appreciate, the entertainment system is quite old, as is the food you are about to eat.
Thank you for your understanding. If you would like to complain you can talk to Wendy, the Senior Flight Attendant, who is located in the First Class cabin, which you don’t have access to. Instead you can address your concerns to Gavin, who is located near to the rear of the plane, who will hear your complaint and promptly forget it.
